When the Sky Tried to Swallow the Moon

"The heavens tried to swallow her, but she became light itself."
— Gigi • Desert Bloom Observatory • Hunter’s Moon 2025
From the quiet grounds of Desert Bloom Observatory, on the evening of October 7, 2025, the Harvest Hunter’s Moon rose — immense, golden-orange, and trembling with mystery. Low on the horizon, it met a river of clouds shaped like an open mouth, as though the sky itself tried to swallow her light. The upper and lower edges vanished beneath veils of vapor, while her right side glowed defiantly, refusing to fade. The warm hue came from the thick atmosphere scattering shorter wavelengths — a scientific truth that could never explain her emotional power. For in that fleeting moment, it felt as though the universe held its breath… and LOVE itself lingered in the clouds.
