The Hunter’s Moon: Symphony Over Montezuma Pass
On 10/06/2025 08:48 pm by Jelieta Walinski Ph.D | Website | Montezuma Pass, AZ, USA
Beneath the chill breath of October, the Hunter’s Moon rose—third and final supermoon of the year—casting silver fire upon the rugged ridges of Montezuma Pass. Appearing closer and brighter, this celestial hunter gleamed with the strength of autumn’s heart, when the Earth tilts just enough to stretch the moon’s golden ascent across the early night. Through my Canon 1DX Mark II and an 800mm lens kissed by a 1.4x extender, six moments became one—stacked in quiet reverence, layered like whispers of time. Tonight, the heavens offered a love letter of light—an eternal chase between shadow and flame.
