Lunar Appenines

The Lunar Apennines, also known as the Montes Apenninus, are a spectacular mountain range located on the nearside of the Moon, along the southeastern edge of Mare Imbrium. Inspired by their terrestrial counterparts, these mountains reach an elevation of approximately 5,500 meters, with Mount Huygens as the highest peak, and extend for approximately 600 km.
