Moon, Morning Star Venus, and Regulus in a dawn alignmen
On 09/20/2025 05:29 am by Tameem Altameemi | Website | United Arab Emirates
From the skies of the United Arab Emirates, the waning crescent Moon of the last days of Rabi‘ al-Awwal 1447 AH appeared low above the mountains at dawn. Just above it shines the brilliant planet Venus, often called the ‘Morning Star’, and nearby is Regulus – the brightest star of the constellation Leo the Lion.
This beautiful alignment shows the Moon’s delicate Earthshine, a glow caused by sunlight reflecting off Earth and illuminating the lunar surface. The combination of the crescent Moon, Venus, and Regulus created a striking celestial scene visible before sunrise.
