A rare visitor: Comet C/2025 A6 captured before dawn

I captured comet C/2025 A6 (Lemmon) from the skies of the United Arab Emirates. This non-periodic comet is currently shining at magnitude +8, making it a fine telescopic target. In the image, you can see the bright nucleus at the core, the surrounding coma of gas and dust, and a faint dust tail stretching away from the Sun.
Unlike periodic comets that return on a regular cycle, C/2025 A6 follows a very elongated orbit and may not return for thousands of years, if ever. As it approaches perihelion, the comet is expected to brighten further, offering skywatchers and astrophotographers an excellent opportunity to follow its journey through the inner solar system.
This observation highlights not only the comet’s changing appearance as solar radiation acts upon it, but also the excitement of discovering transient visitors in our night skies.
