I saw the signs

Cape Foulweather offers an elevated, clear and paved space to view the night skies from. The last two times I visited, once with a workshop group and once with a coaching client, we were treated to an extra element that added surreal beauty to our nighttime shots: bioluminescence that shows up bright blue like sapphires in the water. Although the fence certainly jars the scene a bit, I love the interplay between the signs promising learning and observation and the vast Milky Way with its core wide open to the cameras. Coupled with the lights from ships and a lighthouse in the distance, this piece captures a unique moment and transformation in situ.
