Inspired by the eclipse composites of Tom Harradine (2018) and George Schmies (styled after his work of 2019), this shows Earth’s umbral shadow gliding across the Moon during the recent total lunar eclipse (7-8 Sept 2025). The umbral shadow is ~2.7 times larger than the lunar disk.
GSO 6 inch Nightwatch Dobsonian and iQOO Z9
Selected images of the second half of lunar eclipse were used. Backgrounds were removed, the images were stacked and arranged, and slight sharpening was applied to enhance details. No other color or brightness adjustments were made.
