The fascinating flowers of the wild Rocky Mountain Bee Balm plant are not only a magnet for Hummingbirds, but also for many insects including ants. The big flower head with the purple cones standing up straight must feel like the challenging obstacles of a Parcours competition for tiny ants. And the ant in this photo seems to have taken a wrong turn and ended up balancing with each leg on a different cone.
