On the night of the Black Moon, Arcturus, the Big Dipper and Polaris the North Star glow brightly in the north northwest sky. The Big Dipper is known as The Plough in the United Kingdom and Ireland, reflecting different cultural interpretations of the same prominent group of seven stars. Those are hazelnut trees, also known as filbert trees, in the foreground. I took the photo in a commercial hazel nut orchard.
