The Wizard (or Pegasus) Nebula (Sharpless SH2-142, NGC 7380) is a nebula associated with an open cluster discovered by Caroline Herschel in 1787, in the constellation Cepheus, 7200 light years from Earth. It is a large nebula, at 25 arc-minutes, almost the size of the full moon, but it is a tough one to coax out of the star-filled outer Perseus arm of the Milky Way.
