Mercury-Moon Conjunction at Dawn

Less than an hour before sunrise, the thinnest waning crescent Moon rose above the treetops. Its dark side was clearly revealed under Earthshine, while nearby the rarely seen Mercury shone brightly. In the orange-blue twilight, their conjunction looked as enchanting as a painting.
