Moon-Venus-Jupiter Conjunction Rising 4.43-5.33 am on 20th July.
On 08/20/2025 04:43 am by Peter Lowenstein | Website | Mutare, Zimbabwe
In the early morning of 20th August, an equilateral triangular conjunction of the Waning Crescent Moon with Jupiter (above) and Venus (to the right) was observed rising to the ENE of Mutare from darkness at 4.43 am until the sky became tinted with emerging volcanic sunrise colours between 5.23 and 5.33 am. The beauty of the accompanying pictures was enhanced by the presence of security light illuminated plants in my garden and the presence of bright stars including the red giant Betelguese and other stars of the Orion Constellation above (top left image) and Castor and Pollux of the Gemini Constellation below (bottom images).
Tripod-mounted Panasonic Lumix DMC-ZS40 in manual exposure mode.
Compilation of montage of four pictures taken between 4.43 and 5.33 am.
