Wings of Preservation
On 08/18/2025 07:04 am by Jelieta Walinski Ph.D | Website | Ash Canyon, AZ, USA
In Ash Canyon Bird Sanctuary, I captured an Anna’s Hummingbird suspended in graceful flight, its wings unfolding in perfect symmetry, its colors shimmering like jewels against the morning air. Just as this sanctuary preserves beauty in fragile motion, so too are people judged by what they choose to preserve—whether fleeting wonders of nature or the quiet grace of life’s smallest miracles. In this fleeting pause, the hummingbird teaches us that what we safeguard defines who we are.
