Venus and Jupiter Strict Conjuction Above Mount Etna

On 08/12/2025 04:10 am by Dario Giannobile | Website | Mount Etna

Nature puts on a spectacular show when the charm of the universe merges with the primordial power of the Earth.
A breathtaking view, worthy of the effort required to climb the slopes and conquer a privileged vantage point over the summit craters of Mount Etna. Just before night gave way to day, Jupiter, followed by Venus, rose above the smoking mouth of the volcano. The two planets crossed the veil of ash and lapilli, then shone in a sky studded with stars.
Jupiter, proud of its role as the giant of the Solar System, displayed three of its Galilean satellites — Callisto, Io and Ganymede — while Europa remained hidden in its glow. Completing the picture, the Moon, a silent witness, illuminated the sky with a delicate blue hue, enhancing the magic of this encounter between heaven and earth.
