Seen at a distance dotting the rock hill are hundreds of common murres shoulder to shoulder, and a few cormorants and seagulls. I wanted to take a photo of the murres while they are still here for a month or so, having arrived in the spring then leaving in late summer. They come here to nest. At this time the male parents are taking the young chicks to the sea teaching them feeding and survival tactics.
