Meteor Showers and the Milky Way Framed by a Pigeon Tower in Egypt’s Black Desert
On 07/25/2025 09:00 pm by OSAMA FATHY | Website | Black Desert, Egypt
On one of the most beautiful summer nights, behind the traditional pigeon tower—a rural structure used for raising pigeons—we experienced a breathtaking moment under the glittering sky of the Black Desert.
In early August, as the Perseid and Eta Aquariid meteor showers overlapped, the heavens gifted us a stunning celestial performance! ✨
Despite the Moon nearing its peak brightness, we managed to capture some brilliant meteors before the peak, in the serene depths of the night.
The background reveals the fiery core of the Milky Way galaxy, with its glowing nebulae and intricate details, while the pigeon tower stands tall in the foreground, like an ancient guardian watching the sky for centuries.
