Ghostly Sturgeon Moon
On 08/09/2025 05:15 am by Maria Cruz | South Chiina, Maine
I started photographing the Sturgeon Moon half an hour earlier when it was higher in the sky. At that point, it was bright yellow/orange. By the time it disappeared behind the trees, it had faded to this ghostly blue/pink. I photograph the full moon every month when the skies are clear and I'd never seen that happen before. It looked transparent!
Canon EOS R5 at 2/5 sec, ISO 200, f/7.1 with Canon 70-200mm lens at 200mm.
Cropping, slight exposure adjustment.
