The last full moon of summer—rose in golden brilliance this August 🌕✨. Named after the giant sturgeon fish once plentiful in the Great Lakes during late summer, this moon has guided seasons for centuries.
In 2025, it shone at 99% peak illumination, glowing warmly through thin clouds and highlighting textures in the night sky. Captured with my Canon EOS REBEL SL2, this shot preserves every lunar detail against the silhouettes of late-summer branches.
A reminder that the sky has its own rhythm, and each full moon is a chapter in nature’s endless story.
