The early bird catches the...grasshopper.

The Red-headed woodpeckers around here usually catch insects in midair while flying between their nests in hollowed out dead trees and similarly elevated perches. Not this guy. It noticed grasshoppers working their way along the edge of a sidewalk and saw an easy snack. It then seemed to proudly show me what it had caught.
