Queen Anne's Lace, also known as wild carrot and bishop's lace, grows in dry, sunny areas and disturbed sites, roadsides, open fields and meadows, and woodland edges. They are delicate and beautiful to see. The carrot that is cultivated presently was bred from wild carrot and they carry the same name 'Daucus carota.'
The photo shows a full cluster and a bud. The gold yellow flowers behind are tansy ragwort.
