As I said above only the 8th pic completed since purchasing PI on 3/15 and the second widefield image. It was interesting to see how different the two pics were even though this pic includes everything in the earlier pic. This image definitely gives you a greater sense of space since I used a shorter focal length.
If you zoom in on the image you can see the Crescent and Cocoon Nebulae located directly above the capital C. BTW Elephant Trunk Nebula is located in the Cepheus Constellation.

PixInsight 100%. This is my 8th pic developed using PI exclusively.
This is only the 8th pic I have developed with PI since purchasing it 3/15 and it is the second widefield pic I have developed. Widefield pics seem to be more challenging to develop with PI (probably because less people do them is my guess). I am discovering that PI will do things that more standardized software will not do like Blur Exterminator in PI can be run in correct mode only and it corrects nearly all the aberration problems typically found with using camera lenses all the way open. YA, for that. I seem to be beginning to figure out some other things as well. Oh yes, one of the other cool things PI does that is wonderful for widefield images is that it annotates them for you.
The previous pic I developed taken just a few days ago was a narrower view and showed more detail. This one shows more space
