Cygnus Widefield @58mm

As I said above only the 7th pic completed since purchasing PI on 3/15. It really was exciting to complete a widefield image that I was happy with (and can imagine doing again). It always amazes me how much of space is not empty I was able to get more color out of this image as well as dialing back the stars so they don’t overwhelm this pic. What fun it is to see space.

ASI2600MC Pro g100, Canon24/70@58mmf4, 34 10min exposures (5.7 hours total) +darks/biases/flats

PixInsight 100%. This is my 7th pic developed using PI exclusively.

This is only the 7th pic I have developed with PI since purchasing it 3/15. Learning PI has been every bit as difficult as everyone says. I bought the Adam Block training videos too. That has been difficult as well. PI is a unique product and here is my conclusion, the creative latitude you have with PI far exceeds any other product out there. I am a neophyte to PI and I am glad I decided to invest the time to begin learning in depth.

Working with widefield images as well as deep space is my passion. I have struggled far more with developing widefield images than deep space with PI. This is the first widefield image developed with PI that I have been satisfied with enough to publish it. It was an exciting day for me to have finished this.
