Almost two months old now, the 3 Canada geese goslings swim ahead of their parents on the creek, Even after fledging the young geese remain with their parents for several more months, learning crucial survival tactics and migrating with the adults in the fall.

The olive green seaweeds on the rocky shore are bladderwrack (Fucus vesiculosus) also known as sea grapes or rockweed. They are edible to humans when cooked or dried. It is said that they are the original source of iodine, discovered in 1811
