The Dance of the Lightning Bolts

Summertime is Monsoon season in Colorado's High Country, when almost every day like clockwork the afternoons are ruled by thunderstorms pouncing on the landscape. Some of these storms can get quite severe with huge hail balls and nasty lightning. Just like yesterday's lightning show, when the lightning bolts were slicing nonstop through the rain-filled air and the rumble and crackling of the thunder filled our vast Wet Mountain Valley for hours. The reward for enduring Nature's noisy light show: Photos like this one, documenting stunningly beautiful displays of lightning bolts, dancing the "electric slide" in the rain... ENJOY!
