Rise of the Core

While I was capturing the night sky, I found a very nice landcape to convert it to nightscape. Here we see a bright galactic core rising above the moonland. Lagoon nebula and Trifid nebula are also visible above the core. This area was supposed to be under water for many years and we can clearly see a layer of lacustrine sedimentation on mountains. Rock samples from this place age back to 26000 - 30000 years.
