The Moon Meets τ-Scorpii

Tonight the Moon passed the bright, mag. 2.75 star, τ-Scorpii, with the closest part of the encounter being under the Tycho crater. Unfortunately, clouds obscured this part of the conjunction at my location, but later, in darker skies, the star could be seen to the right of the Moon, which was when the images were taken.
Moon Distance: 399 506 km
Moon Altitude: 9°
Nikon D800
Skywatcher 200P

Exposure for τ-Scorpii: f/5.9, 1/50s, ISO-6400, FL=1200 mm
GIMP: Merge two images to create an HDR of the Moon and τ-Scorpii, using the faint recording of the star in the Moon image as the reference point. Adjust colour balance, sharpen and crop.
