Today I was lucky to see a squirrel pick up a mango pit and carry it in its teeth to hide it more securely. It (with the pit in her teeth!) climbed up the wall of the house to the windowsill on the second floor and left the pit there. I wonder what will happen next: will it eat the pit itself, will the owners of the window throw the pit out, or will the squirrel forget about the pit? I'll see 🙂 I've found such squirrel stashes on our outer windowsills several times.
