Captured from the skies of the United Arab Emirates 🇦🇪 on the evening of Muharram 1st, 1447 AH, this image shows the newborn crescent moon rising just over 6° above the horizon. The crescent was also clearly visible to the naked eye when it reached an altitude of about 9°.
