conjunction of the Moon and the Pleiades

This morning, June 23, 2025 (27 Dhu al-Hijjah 1446 AH), I captured this beautiful celestial event from the skies of the United Arab Emirates 🇦🇪. The images show the conjunction of the crescent Moon and the Pleiades star cluster (Messier 45) near the eastern horizon before sunrise.

It was a magical view in the early morning twilight, with Earthshine illuminating the Moon’s dark side and the stars of the Pleiades briefly disappearing behind the Moon’s limb.
