"Galactic Glow Over Frozen Peaks"
On 05/01/2025 01:30 am by Naiteek Vikamsey | Website | Rangdum, Ladakh, India
We were driving towards Rangdum in the Zanskar valley, winding through narrow, snow-covered roads, when suddenly, a massive brown bear appeared right in front of our car — running ahead of us along the snowy path. For a few intense moments, it led the way before climbing down a cliff on the side of the road and disappearing from sight.
Shaken but still awe-struck, we continued a little further and stumbled upon a stunning scene — a snow-blanketed foreground with majestic peaks, perfectly aligned with the rising Milky Way. It was the kind of view that begged to be captured.
But the earlier bear encounter hung heavy on our minds. The shooting location wasn’t far from where we’d seen it, and in the stillness of the cold night, every tiny sound felt like a warning. Our senses were on high alert, our movements swift.
Once done, we packed up in record time, jumped into the car, and drove off — hearts still racing, but cameras full of starlit magic.
