High Noon Cloud Figures
On 05/30/2025 12:40 pm by Cecille Kennedy | Lincoln City, Oregon
Looking up I saw these interesting cloud formation and figures, some of them reminding me of swimming jellyfish. The sun was straight up passing Meridan.
Meridian passing, also known as transit, is the moment when a celestial object (like the sun, moon, or a star) crosses an observer's meridian of longitude. At this point, the celestial object is at its highest altitude in the sky. Meridian passing for the sun is also referred to as local apparent noon. [Wikipedia]
