From a distance looking west northwest at the Depoe Bay Bridge and the harbor. The trunks of alder trees are on each side on the photo. the walking trail on the right. There’s a rather tall rhododendron tree with deep pink flowers a few feet from me (not in photo) and I wanted to include this particular flowering branch in the image. The slender branch was swaying with the wind and after over a dozen shots, finally I have here an acceptable photo.
According to the U.S. Library of Congress the Depoe Bay Bridge designed in 1926 by Conde B. McCullough is an important example of his [McCullough's] engineering and artistic treatment of bridge design. And the bridge blends beautifully with the landscape found on this rocky section of the Oregon Coast Highway.
