One of Natures colorful wonders

Every year about this time my neighborhood is covered with small groups of
California Poppies I'm lucky to have a small group in my front yard the colors
are incredibly vibrant they are only around for a short time they disappear and
return in the same spot every year the image shown here is one in full bloom with
buds just below waiting there turn to bloom then disappear with the process hopefully starting all over again next year
