The forget-me-nots are now blooming. There are many species of these dainty flowers in the temperate areas of the northern hemisphere. The alpine forget-me-not is the state flower of Alaska. The ones in my photo are most likely woodland forget-me-not which I have observed to be perennial. The reddish plant behind them is a mayana (Coleus).
