The rise of the Pink Moon from Lahore!

Pink moon is a term used to call the full moon of the month of April which is actually the name given by Eastern native Americans aka the Red Indians back in the day due to its connection with early spring wildflowers. So it doesn't have to do anything with the color of the Moon being pink.
The color you see here is actually due to the thick layer of dust and haze over our horizons (specially the urban areas) which make the moon appear as red or yellowish in color. As soon as the moon rises a significant degree above the horizon the true colors of the moon are revealed. Similarly these unusual colors can be seen almost everyday at moonrise or moonset.
