The full moon with Spica

This is the full (pink, mini) moon last night with the very bright star Spica above it,. As is so often the case, I was tipped to watch for them together by my EarthSky newsletter.

I took 30 1-second photos to bring out the star, then 30 at 1/500th to properly expose the moon. I used RC Astro Star Xterminator to remove the overexposed background of the 1-second images, then combined the star and moon.
