M44 or Beehive cluster a [type of cluster, e.g., globular, open] cluster located in the constellation Cancer, approximately distance to Earth is 577.3 light years light-years away. This stunning cluster was discovered by Galileo Galilei in 1609 and later added to Charles Messier's catalog in 1769.
