The lunar eclipse from March 13 through 14, 2023 photographed from my backyard in Downey, CA. This eclipse was visible under clear skies from most of the Americas. I had planned a group watch event up at Mount Wilson Observatory, but the snow and ice weather made the trip unsafe so I canceled it. This full moon was also a mini-moon, its farthest point in its orbit around the sun. We did get some clouds that moved through as can be seen in the sequences.
Nikon Z8, Nikon 180-600mm, remote intervalometer/release, Star Adventurer 2i tracking head, tripod.
There was not much processing, just cropping, balancing brightness and editing the number of shots down.
