Aristarchus Crater

Aristarchus crater, 40 kilometers diameter, relatively new, at 450 million years old, and the brightest albedo feature on the moon. To the left is Vallis Schröteri, a 1-10km wide rille carved by lava flow. Herodotus crater is seen below, mostly filled in by lava. At upper right is Prinz crater, even more lava flooded, and around 3.8 billion years old.
