I had a series of images of this bird climbing up and down this tree trunk. What caught my attention was that I expected it to be a Nuthatch due to the behavior. It was in the shadows so difficult to see at first. It turned out to be a Common Yellowthroat. The Yellowthroat is usually found on reeds in the water or marshy areas. Occasionally it will go to a branch in thick bushes but again, usually near the water. This tree was about 100' from the closest pond so quite unexpected.
