One of my favorite open star clusters in the night sky. Messier 41 - The Little Beehive open star cluster in constellation Canis Major. It occupies an area the size of a full moon in our night sky. It is approximately 100 stars spread across an estimated 25 lightyears and at about 2,250 lightyears away.
