Celestial Magic at Montezuma Pass
On 02/01/2025 07:54 pm by Jelieta Walinski Ph.D | Website | Montezuma Pass, Southeast Arizona, USA
Captured on Feb 1, at 6575 ft above sea level, this single exposure reveals a breathtaking scene:
The waxing crescent moon shines bright, accompanied by Venus on the right and Saturn below.
But that's not all! Six meteors streak across the sky, leaving behind a trail of wonder.
And if you look closely, you'll spot me in the foreground, humbled by the vastness of the universe.
Montezuma Pass in Southeast Arizona offered the perfect combination of excellent air quality and minimal light pollution, making this shot possible.
A dream come true for this astrophotography enthusiast!
