Scrub Jay feeding on suet.

A Scrub Jay feeding on the suet in my backyard. The suet is homemade from melted tallow, almonds, raisins, mixed bird seed and a bit of peanut butter, stirred in a bowl, poured into a plastic cup then cooled to hard in the fridge. Then I hang it in a mesh bag. It's a protein treat for many bird species during the harsh winters.
