This Coopers Hawk sat for about twenty minutes looking around in a tree just 70 feet from my bird feeder. As it kept looking around, I wondered why it didn't seem interested in any birds at my feeder. It eventually took off. Going through some 30 pictures I shot I discovered why. While the focus of most will be drawn to the eyes, they may not notice the raw meat and leg of a fresh kill in the right talons of this raptor.
