The splendid Orion Nebula
On 12/17/2024 by Klaus Brasch | Flagstaff, AZ, USA
Messier 42, the splendid Orion Nebular is one of the nearest and brightest stellar nurseries in our Milky Way. It is particularly well placed for telescopic viewing in the Northern Hemisphere during winter. My images reveals both the pink coloration of ionized Hydrogen and bluish colored interstellar dust below with the reddish outline popularly known as the running man nebula. The famed trapezium group of young stars easily visible in binoculars is the brightest portion of the entire complex.
