Lunar Occulation of Mars - January 13, 2025 - 10:43 PM

I thought I was going to miss this celestial event because the sky was cloudy. But at around 10:15, the sky cleared, so I set up my tripod and waited. I had a schedule that said Mars would reappear in the Boston area at 10:42. And they were right! At 10:42, it was just barely peeking over the edge of the moon so you could only see half. But in this photo, at 10:43, is was just starting to pull away from the moon so the entire round shape is visible.
