The lone eagle

In the last 48 hours the local lakes and ponds have completely frozen over so I went to the still unfrozen Missouri River. The water level was fairly low, with lots of small ice flows steadily moving down river. This bald eagle was moving from tree to tree, scanning the river's shoreline and exposed sand bars. I'm guessing this eagle is a regular along this stretch of the river, having seen a bald eagle in this very tree the last time I was here.
