Quadrantid Earthgrazer

This is an Earthgrazing Quadrantid meteor. This photo was years in the making. For many years I planned on capturing an Earthgrazer Quadrantid, clouds, weather, unfavorable peak time has impeded this, as well as the sheer luck of one occurring when I was photographing. This was a good year from the perspective of the Moon, peak time, weather and I set my camera up sighted to capture the path of an expected Earthgrazer. As the Big Dipper rose my Earthgrazer flashed straight up and was captured on my cameras. There is a whole sky fisheye capture as well. This joins my Earthgrazer capture of several other meteor showers.
