C5/IC342 Spiral Galaxy located in Camelopardalis (try to pronounce that!), 21' in diameter, This galaxy appears much dimmer than Bodes or Pinwheel because of dust blocking its view, 7-11 million lys away.
This is the first object I have photographed in Camelopardalis and that was my motivation. Because of the dust it is less spectacular and it was really fun to get my first pic in this constellation.
Exploring space just IS fun. This is my last image for 2024. Welcome to 2025.
