Thor's Helmet, (NGC 2359, Sharpless 2-298 and Gum 4) is an emission nebula which glows from the energetic winds of Wolf Rayet Star WR7. It resides 12,000 light years away in the constellation Canis Major, the larger of Orion's two hunting dogs.
Telescope: TSO-115mm Triplet f/7 refractor with TSO 1.0X flattener, 800mm focal length
Camera: ZWO ASI 294MM Pro, cooled to -10C
Sky-Watcher EQ6-R Pro equatorial mount using EQMOD software
Antlia Edge 4.5nm Ha and OIII filters
15x300 seconds Ha
21x300 seconds OIII
